Kate Cooper Richardson,
Director, Oregon Child
Support Program

The Oregon Child Support Program is a partnership between the Oregon Department of Justice and county District Attorneys' Offices to provide services and support that promote the well-being of Oregon children. This means working with both parents to ensure that that every child receives the financial and emotional support they need to grow and thrive.
Every year the Child Support Program enables more than 450,000 parents to provide for their children's well-being. It is also one of the most efficient service programs in the state, collecting and processing more than $1 million a day for our youngest Oregonians.
Kate Cooper Richardson was appointed by Attorney General Ellen F. Rosenblum in January 2013 to head the Oregon Department of Justice, Division of Child Support, with 12 offices statewide and nearly 600 employees.
